I have an older edition of the book, and one negative aspect is that the illustrations and photographs are black-and-white. They may have spruced up the newer edition a bit, but I haven't seen a copy yet. Regardless, there is some good information. Natural Pest Control is broken down into short chapters that are quite readable. Sections include: Ants Snails Gophers Organic Fertilizers Organic Pest Controls Organic Disease Control Organic Flea Control Organic Cockroach Control Organic Fly Control Organic Termite Control Natural Lawn Care Organic Rose Care Organic Tree Care Organic Foliar Sprays The Making of Super Compost Rock Dust Various Appendices and Resources Directories The slant is more toward lawn and garden maintenance and outdoor pest control, but there is information that is applicable to in-home problems as well. Many pest control books cover a wide variety of topics and aren't really worth getting if you only have issues with one particular kind of pest, but Natural Pest Control is a good resource for anybody who's into gardening or lawn care because it also includes information on natural fertilizers and tricks for making your garden thrive. |
